JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. The Operation Engineer based in Hong Kong will play as the Service Desk operation role in delivering front-line technical support to a long term HongKong local project. You will be responsible for providing an entry-level/intermediate of information technology service to our customers over the phone and via support tickets.
2. The Operation Engineer(OE) will work in a 24x7 shift support team to take ownership of complex customer issues and escalations which may take several days or weeks to resolve. The administrator should be confident in applying creative problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot issues while keeping the SLA satisfaction. You should focus on the incident resolving, also follow up the progress of problem-solving, provide the operation data analysis and active preventive solutions.
3. As a technical resource, this is not limited to but may include planning and executing complex maintenance's, optimizing customer solutions for improved stability and performance or being involved in projects to re-architect customer solutions for availability and business continuity.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Key Accountabilities

1. Take ownership of technical issues and see them through to resolution.
2. Work closely with 2nd line support and development teams to facilitate the delivery of complex projects and drive customer satisfaction.
3. Support customers over the phone, email or via the ticketing system.
4. Validate monitoring alerts and execute predefined troubleshooting instructions.
5. Advanced administration, configuration and troubleshooting tasks.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Technical:

1. Knowledge in areas of Linux OS, Database, Kubernetes, Docker, Tomcat, LVS, Rocketmq, kettle, Kafka, etc.
2. Ability to script in Shell or Python or Java and SQL.
3. Strong administration and troubleshooting experience in one or more areas, such as container, Linux OS, middleware, database.
4. ITIL experience is preferable.
5. Development experience is preferable.
6. 3+ years of related working experience are preferable.
7. Enterprise System project implementation experience are preferable.
8. Willing to learn new technology and strong problem-solving skill.

Personal:

1. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize customer issues under pressure.
2. Demonstrates strong and creative problem-solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take responsibility and ownership of customer issues.
3. Creative and collaborative team player
4. Possesses excellent communication skills in written English and spoken Cantonese.
5. Mandarin is preferable.
