COMMERCIAL TRAINEE (Appln/Ref: CT)

Job Overview:

We are looking for candidates who are keen to develop an all-rounded career in airline commercial management.

As part of a professional team, you play an important role in the planning and execution of effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and other commercial targets. This will include working and leveraging on both online and traditional distribution channels; foster strong relationships with trade and other partners to market Singapore Airlines; products and services. An analytical mind together with good business sense are key ingredients for success.

Where assigned, candidates must be prepared for stints in passenger services areas and other support functions such as administration and accounts.

On-the-job and classroom training will be provided. Strong performers will be groomed to take up leadership positions in suitable areas.

Job Description:

• Participate in sales and marketing planning activities
• Monitor and manage the performance of distribution channels, including travel agents
• Develop and execute business development plans to grow new market segments
• Analyse internal and market data to present actionable proposals
• Assist in sales and marketing administration such as airfare filing and contract management
• Maintain & manage Singapore Airlines Hong Kong website, mobile app and social media
• Passenger servicing areas will include attending to passenger enquiries, and air travel booking and ticket-related transactions, where assigned
• Support office administration, and accounting functions such as invoice verification, accounts receivable or accounts payable duties, where assigned

What You Should Possess:

• Diploma or Degree Holder, preferably in business-related or travel/tourism disciplines

• Fluent spoken and written English, Cantonese & Mandarin

• Good IT proficiency, including in basic MS Office software

• Working experience in airline or hospitality industry will be a bonus

• Fresh graduates and candidates with no relevant experience are also welcome to apply
