RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead accounting team in HK and report to Country Manager with a dotted line to CFO Retail Asia;
• Oversee the accounting operation, ensure the operations comply with company internal rules and policies & procedures, and financial controls are in place to safeguard the assets of the company;
• Assist the SAP implementation project;
• Identify gaps in financial controls and processes, and work with business and Finance/IT community to enhance processes and systems;
• Prepare month-end closing, management & statutory financial reports and analysis as well as work with Singapore corporate office in respect of financial report obligations;
• Responsible for the annual budget, quarterly forecast and perform a key role in the company’s strategic and financial business review;
• Responsible for monitoring and managing the liquidity position in the company including funding from the corporate office and external financing; produce cash flow projections on a periodic basis in line with corporate office requirements
• Liaise with external auditors, bankers and government departments on finance matters;
• Liaise with professional companies on company secretarial and taxation matters;
• Review and advise on the financial aspects of various business agreements for the company, and seek the necessary tax and legal advice, if required;
• Handle ad-hoc reports/projects as assigned by senior management including feasibility studies for new store openings to support business decisions.
• Assist senior management in drafting Internal Approval Notes and providing input on financial analysis and implications in relation to the subject matter.
• Prepare the required statutory accounts for entities under the company as required for statutory filing purpose and ensure filing deadlines are complied with, as required.
• Assist with the preparation of tax computations, if required, and ensure timely submission of tax filings
• Require to supervise a team of 4.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree holder in Accounting
• At least 5 yrs' relevant exp. in Retail industry with MNC background is definitely an advantage;
• Experience in SAP implementation is a MUST;
• Solid knowledge in CS2000 or Flex system;
• Able to complete the month end closing report on the 1st day of each month even during the bank holiday or rest day;
• Strong analytical and communication skills;
• Able to work under pressure and a good team player;
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
• Occasional Travel is needed;
• Immediate available is highly preferred.
