Job Description

The role is to manage Vans E-Commerce site merchandising to create the best consumer journey and experience on-site and the easiest path-to-purchase. You are supporting eCommerce Director for planning and executing a best in class customer experience through effective site merchandising strategies. You will be responsible for optimizing the site experience by delivering cutting-edge analytics services to stakeholders, enabling them to make fact-based decisions. Based on multiple data sources, you manage the generation of insights that help Vans understand consumer behavior and related business performance which will then provide the factual basis for future consumer experiences and related demand and site development.

This role is also a cross-functional collaborator who oversees sales forecasting, buy planning and inventory management that meet the financial goals of the E-Commerce organization.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in site merchandising and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans to improve customer experience and conversion.
  • Develops and plans seasonal site strategies and visual merchandising leveraging customer-based analytics.
  • Plan and execute consumer journey from homepage, event page, detail page, category page and navigation with the smooth and pleasant site experience.
  • Monitor site presentation and traffic and modifies visual presentation based on customers engagement and changing behaviors.
  • Understand customer feedback, analyze trends and develop insights about buying preferences and buying patterns to optimize customers experience and drive category performance.
  • Serves as a partner to DTC buying team, identifying potential enhancements or changes based on knowledge of the category, market landscape, industry trends and customer behaviors to establish a consistent omni-channel approach & integrated market place for assortment, pricing and promotional cadence
  • Work with eCommerce performance marketing and digital marketing team to ensure end-to-end journey from external to site with the best conversion.
  • Actively participate in GTM process, from product launches to seasonal events calendar, from brand campaign to promotional plan to meet financial KPIs and long-term brand strategic vision.
  • Included to ensure GTM guidance implementation and new launch alignment with regional and local marketing team.
  • Optimize content performance across key pages throughout the customer path to improve performance and drive conversion.
  • Optimize SEO to drive high quality of search traffic.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in E-commerce or marketing/Business administration preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in eCommerce retail operation management and 3+ years’ in merchandise planning and/or buying within a direct to consumer environment.
  • Innovative, flexible and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills, driving cross functional teams
  • Understanding of content management software and processes for sophisticated merchandising placements
  • Experienced with major online platforms and its ecosystem
  • Adobe Photoshop or graphic design program experience is a plus
  • Strong MS office skills, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and in writing, to interact effectively and efficiently across departments with various levels of management
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Aptitude for learning new software applications
  • Experience in using google analytics or adobe analytics is a plus
  • Ability to simplify complex messages and influence ideas and initiatives throughout all levels of the organization
