Responsibilities:

• Monitor ticketing queue and responds to service requests or incidents
• Provide 2^nd tier support of Arup Finance Systems including JD Edwards, Progression Accounting and Timesheets
• Maintain the ongoing reliability and performance of Arup’s Finance Systems
• Design new updates / changes by analysing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications; testing
• Review and contribute to documentation relevant to services e.g. Design, Service Transition to Support, Standard Operating Procedures, SLAs, OLAs
• Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing service desk support; training users
• Work collaboratively with Finance staff, Engineers, other analysts, Service Leaders, Operations Managers, Vendors, Architects and other Digital Technology professionals
• Maintain user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
• Monitor performance capabilities across Corporate systems to ensure platform stability
• Coordinate installation and maintenance work with outside vendors as needed
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Report security issues when appropriate and gather required information. Ensure adherence to security requirements

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Science or Numerate discipline
• At least 3 years of relevant experience working as 2^nd tier support of financial systems including JD Edwards
• Working with 3rd party managed services & support providers
• Business Analysis experience, including gathering requirements, defining specifications, configuring and testing
• Knowledge of SQL will be beneficial
• Confident fast learner and a good team player with methodical, investigative and inquisitive mind
• Good interpersonal and client-handling skills, with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Working knowledge of IT service processes (ITIL) and best practices will be an advantage
