Job Description

Responsibilities:

l   Monitor front-of-house operations of Hostel Department includingroomreservation, registration, cashiering, retailing and handling hostel guest enquiries.

l   Ensure appropriate staffing at all service areasamong the hostel, liaise with concerned departments and/or outsourced contractors if required.

l   Handle dissatisfied hostel guests to resolve complaints, take remedial actions immediately. Ensure allhostel guest concerns are promptly logged and reported to the Management.

l   Report all emergency situations, e.g. bomb threat, fire alarm, guest accidents, make every effort to minimize disturbance or causing inconvenience to guests. Ensure all incidents are properly logged.

l   Inspecthostel room on a regular basis and report any defects to concerned departments or outsourced contractors.

l   Release “locked” in-room safe, wake-up call without response.

l   Collect and supervise associates to collect hostel guest comments on facilities, services and events at Youth Square and Y-loft.

l   Ensure associates deliver quality /works in accordance to Hostel Operations Manual.

l   Provide guidance and training to all duty associates in case of any service shortfalls.

l   Assist in preparation of management report, analysis, guest letter and internal memo.

l   Handle undesirable characters assist with Property Management Teammates.

l   Recommend associates for promotion, cross exposure or internal transfer if appropriate.

l   Assist to assign side duty and / or special assignment to associates in views of operation needs and track progress.

l   Perform and complete any other duties or complete ad hoc assignments as and when required.

Requirements:

l   Graduate of Higher Diploma / College / University Degree in Hotel / Tourism Management

l   Minimum 3 years frontdeskoffice working experience with more than 1 year supervisory position

l   Customer-oriented, well-organized with excellent interpersonal skills

l   Proficiency in window applications and internet

l   Good command of oral and written English, Cantonese and Putonghua
