Meet & Greet Program for Mid-Autumn Events Promotion

 

Job Specifications for Supervisors

 

a).  Main duties:

  • Supervise a team of promoters and oversee the on-site operations, such as roster assignment, stock control and distribution of promotional publications to visitors, literature racks replenishment and work station cleanliness, etc.
  • Liaison and co-operation with relevant external parties including Immigration Department, Police Department at assigned locations to ensure smooth operations and the success of the Meet & Greet Program.
  • Supervise, coach and manage promoters to ensure they provide quality services to visitors.
  • Provide customer services to visitors, specifically:

(i)                 Answer enquiries about events

(ii)               Answer enquiries regarding general tourist information

(iii)             Assist visitors when required and as appropriate

  • Handle administrative tasks; take distribution photos and share with HKTB as record and proof; arrange leaflet logistics.
  • Prepare daily log sheet for the whole team including the report of key activities, incidents and issues.

(i)                 Keep leaflets in good condition.

(ii)               Help store undistributed leaflets in case the respective location does not have storage space for keeping undistributed leaflets.

(iii)             Support ad-hoc duties as assigned by the HKTB or the Agency

 

b).  Requirements:

  • College level, preferably in tourism-related subjects
  • 3 years relevant working experience in customer service or tourism industry is preferred
  • Fluent spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Pleasant, proactive, good supervisory and communications skills
  • Willing to undertake shift duties

 

c).  Remarks

  • Supervisors are required to commit to carry out on site duties as per the M&G operating schedule throughout the whole period of M&G in compliance with the Employment Ordinance and related Laws and Regulations; besides, supervisors need to attend 1 day pre-job briefing (for each mega event) and site inspections (for each mega event). Exceptions to be discussed and agreed with HKTB case by case.
  • All supervisors are allowed to work on rotation basis to work at different locations, at a maximum of 2 locations for each mega event.
    • There will be transportation allowance (if applicable)

 

 Job Specifications for Promoters

 

a).   Main duties:

  • Welcome and greet visitors and locals at ports of entry
  • Distribute promotional publications to visitors
  • Provide customer services to visitors, specifically:
  • Answer enquiries about the event
  • Answer enquiries on general tourist information
  • Assist visitors when required
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or HKTB

 

b).   Requirements:

  • College level, preferably in tourism related subjects
  • 1 year relevant working experience in customer services or tourism industry is preferred
  • Fluent spoken English, Cantonese & Putonghua
  • Pleasant, proactive and good customer service skills
  • Willing to undertake shift duties

 

c).    Remarks

Operation Hours
