Responsibilities

• Assist project manager/ lead systems architect in overseeing and providing professional advice on overall design and implementation of the document/ content management system architecture for the System
• Responsible for the overall design and implementation of the document/ content management system architecture for the System, including the design of relevant framework, adoption, content migration strategy, integration and transition of all related technologies and components, setup and configuration of document/ content management server software, application development and deployment tools
• Participate and take the lead in design workshops and discussions with the customers and other contractors during implementation period to explain the design, analyse and propose options to facilitate the overall integration of the System
• Lead the Implementation Team members to plan and carry out document/ content management system and application design, system configuration, System Acceptance Test, system rollout, etc.
• Support and maintain the document management system after implementation of the system
• Assist bid team to propose the document/ content management system design with required system software and hardware, and prepare technical proposals to respond the requirements of the tenders for bidding new projects
• Manage and communicate with different vendors, partners, and stakeholders
• Forecast work efforts required for each phase of a project, closely monitor the project schedule
• Timely report to project manager/ lead systems architect

Requirements

• a degree or above in computer science or equivalent;
• at latest 8 years of post-qualification IT experience; and
• at least 4 years of IT experience that MUST covers the following areas:

(i)   functional/ specialty experience in the design, implementation and/ or integration of application with document/ content management system functions

(ii)  Solid hands-on experience for various components of enterprise grade document/ content management software, document/ content management framework, application framework, application development and deployment tools (FileNet, etc.);

(iii)  Producing an infrastructure design for the system and high-level system requirements in consultation with the users;

(iv)  Generating a set of acceptance test requirements, together with the test engineers and the users, which determine that all the high-level requirements have been met;

• Good knowledge on project management and SDLC standards will be advantage
• Experience with Document/ content migration from Documentum to FileNet/ from FileNet to FileNet will be advantage
• Experience with Document meta-data migration from Oracle to DB2/ from DB2 to DB2 will be advantage
• Experience with one or more software products in each of the following categories:

(i)   Document management servers: e.g. IBM FileNet/ Documentum;

(ii)  OCR Servers: e.g. IBM DataCap;

(iii) Data migration and synchronization software: e.g. IBM CDC/ IBM DataStage;

(iv) Application servers: e.g. IBM WebSphere/ WebLogic/ JBoss;

(v)  Server virtualization: e.g. VMware/ IBM PowerVM/ Oracle VM.

• Experience with one or more hardware products in each of the following categories:

(i)    x86 servers, midrange servers: e.g. IBM AIX/ HPE Unix/ Dell/ etc.;

(ii)  SAN storage, SAN switch, WORM: e.g. Dell/ NetApp/ HPE/ Hitachi/ IBM/ Brocade;

(iii) High volume scanners: e.g. Kodak/ Canon/ Fuji Xerox.

• Good communication, interpersonal and customer-interaction skills
• Working experience in government projects, familiar with government implementation and maintenance methodologies and documentation standards is a plus
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
