Job Description

THE GIG (Summary of the Role)

This incumbent is responsible for planning and executing projects to deliver expected business outcomes on time and to budget.  The objective measures of success are collaborative communications with the Project Sponsor, establishing and leading project teams, managing deliverables, and ensuring quality control throughout the project life cycle.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART (Responsibilities)

  • Manage Information Technology projects from idea to delivery of business value and closure within the Dr. Marterns’ IT Delivery Framework
  • Establish and lead the project team of internal and external resources as required.
  • Work effectively with the project sponsor to ensure delivery on-time, to budget, and scope.
  • Monitor and report project progress against milestones and deliverables In line with PMO guidance
  • Communicate proactively with all involved parties to identify issues and risks, generate solutions, and implement improvements.
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are communicated, documented and approved by the project sponsor.
  • Manage external vendor relationships and resources as required

YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES (Requirements)

  • University graduate or above in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience of IT project implementation
  • Demonstrable experience of a variety of IT delivery methodologies such as waterfall, Iterative, agile
  • Demonstrable experience of project delivery across a range of technologies with the focus on ERP - Finance and Supply Chain and Retail POS and Back Office solutions
  • Familiarity with the effective use of tools to optimise IT delivery team performance such as MS Project, JIRA, Teams, Sharepoint
  • Prior record of working within a defined delivery and governance framework supported by PMO
  • Occasional travelling is required


Successful candidate will be deployed on 1-year contract basis,with the possibility of renewal or conversion subject to project life cycle and satisfactory performance.
