Job Responsibilities

• Supplier management
  • Establishing the contractual framework conditions (master agreement and supply agreements) for cooperation with suppliers
  • Expansion of new supplier base
  • Managing the existing supplier portfolio
  • Optimizing the supplier portfolio
  • Regular tenders, bid evaluations and price negotiations

•  Cost optimization
  • Processing and implementing cost optimizations through the use of:
  • Market opportunities
  • Value analytical observation
  • Establishment of permanent competitive situations among the suppliers
  • Maintenance of nominal/actual costs reporting

• Internationalization
  • Regional supplier and materials research in the APAC and China region
  • Benchmarks with other companies

• Establishing Supply/Procurement strategies
  • Defining regional material group and supplier strategies. Establishing appropriate global material group and supplier strategies in cooperation with Group Procurement Team in German headquarter
  • Coordination between Germany headquarter, China Plant, and APAC/ China Supply Chain Management team

• Responsibility for material groups and suppliers
  • Responsibility for the global material group

• Cooperation with Group Procurement team in headquarter (Location: Germany)
  • Support the central procurement function and the material groups supervised centrally
  • Cooperate with the central procurement function on matters concerning the centrally supervised global and regional material groups

Requirements

•  At least 10 years' experience in strategic procurement of:Strong technical knowledge of plastic injection molding/ blow molding, and good experience with manufacturing cost structureSourcing in the APAC, especially in China
  • Plastic injection moulding and/or
  • Blow moulding
  • Electronic components and/or
  • Finish good assembly
• Knowledge of MS Office packages (especially Excel), and nice to know any ERP or SAP R3 module MM
• Fluent spoken and written business English and Mandarin
• Extensive experience in the areas of:
  • International procurement market analyses
  • Supplier evaluation and selection process
  • Supplier Relationship Management
