Proco Associates is representing a prominent food business headquartered in Europe with 50+ manufacturing sites globally. Our client has an established regional category team based in Hong Kong and it is now in search of a Packaging and Direct Materials Procurement Manager to drive strategic sourcing from suppliers in Asia.

In this role, the Procurement Manager will work very closely with the Senior Management team in Asia to drive and support global procurement projects that involve suppliers in Asia. You will be expected to proactively identify high-quality suppliers in collaboration with the Global Category team and Quality team, negotiating best-in-class agreements with the suppliers and obtaining lowest possible prices without compromising the high quality. You will drive supplier performance management for the region, and work closely with the quality team to develop supplier improvement strategies in accordance with the company's directions.

The successful candidate will have sourcing or procurement experience in the packaging and/or food ingredients categories, ideally from the Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods / FMCG or Consumer Packaging industries. Perhaps even more important will be your capabilities to manage multiple stakeholders in a constructive way, manage a variety of supplier relationships and drive effective negotiations. Commercial savviness, solid understanding of TCO principles and strategic sourcing methodologies, and a "quality first" mindset are key attributes our client is after.

You must be proficient in both Mandarin and English, and ideally experienced in working in multicultural settings.
