Job Description

Our client, a listed company on mainboard is looking for caliber to join its’ team as Buying Manager to cope with business expansion and re-allocation of purchasing tasks on current operations.

 

Key responsibilities including:

  • Lead the buying and sourcing (dairy/frozen/fresh/wine/grocery etc). premium consumables from local suppliers and overseas. Conduct market research to understand the latest international / local trend and customers’ needs. Sourcing of new products, brands. In charge of strategic brands and exclusive partnerships.
  • Involve in product development, brand management, sales, margin and pricing strategy, customer targeting strategy etc.
  • Manage and execute buying strategies according to sales budget and seasonal needs. Formulate the buying plan including product mix planning and forecast, product segmentation, pricing and order placement.
  • Analyse sales data and monitor business performance to achieve sales targets and maximize the profit. Prepare analysis reports and decision references such as: sales data report, product & category development strategy, market analysis and competitor analysis report.
  • Manage the inventory level identify, evaluate and manage the performance of suppliers and vendors. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive price, deals, exclusivity and terms.
  • Strong knowledge of the product ranges - training of team
  • Planning on sales targets for seasonal and annual promotion events; cooperate and enhance of partnership relationship between team, internal departments and external vendors.
  • Participate to brand concept development, store design, plan layout, new shops-in-shop / pop-ups stores, and new store development as necessary.

 

  

Specifications:

  • Holder of Bachelor degree in Business Administration, retail management or related disciplines.
  • 8-10 years of premium food sourcing and buying experience in retail industry, including 3 years at managerial level.
  • Self-driven, well-organized, detail-minded, and can work under fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, Chinese, European languages preferred
