Job Description

  •     Responsible for managing the promotion of the entire portfolio of products to the OEM markets
  •     Implements company strategy and drives profitable revenue growth by making the right choice of the right distribution.  Business development initiatives in Custom Solutions should be consistent with the company’s overall strategy
  •     consider current market trends and building the multiyear planning and ensuring good coordination between other sales, PM and marketing functions
  •     Responsible for tracking budget achievement, tracking lost business, identifying and understanding market trends
  •     Proactively lead, manage, motivate sales team and if applicable other sales channel, deal with people issues effectively, i.e. performance management
  •     Plan / forecast, manage and exceed sales forecast and budget on an ongoing basis
  •     Develop and maintain regional business plan for CbQ-customers
  •     Overlook and manage revenue generation and strategic partnership development and management
  •     Manage complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required
  •     Communication of OEM-client as well as team requirements to internal stakeholders to deliver custom projects effectively and in a timely manner
  •     Attend conferences and exhibitions in support of Custom Solutions business
  •     Attend company meetings and trainings as required

 

Job requirement:

  •     Scientific degree (Master of Science), PhD and/or MBA degree is a plus (equivalent experience in lieu of advanced degree acceptable)
  •     Strong Molecular Biology Applications background. Experience with QIAGEN products preferable
  •     At least 5-6 years proven sales experience in research or diagnostic market
  •     Proven successful experience in several Asian countries
  •     Fluent in English and Mandarin. A third language relevant for the region preferable
  •     Demonstrated scientific “problem solving” skills, translated into consultative selling process where the “win” is for both the client and the company

  •     Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels
  •     Highly creative and positive personality
  •     Ability to manage both large autonomy and team work
  •     Willingness to travel
