Job duties:

• Conduct independent checking and verification for the works of the financial / regulatory reporting team
• Assure the HKMA returns produced are accurate and comply with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines of the bank
• Prepare financial statements for banking companies
• Draft accounting policies and procedures manuals
• Participate in accounting related projects such as systems enhancement for accounting and regulatory reporting, UAT of new products of the bank
• Perform other ad hoc tasks.

Job requirements:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
• Qualified accountant
• Over 6 years of relevant working experience in the financial reporting function of a banking company
• Familiar with HKMA requirements including banking returns, listing rules, and regulatory requirements applicable to banks, insurance companies and listed companies
• Previous experience in system implementation of accounting systems will be an advantage

Candidate with less experience can be considered as “Manager / Assistant Manager, Accounting”
