Job Description
Department: Information Management
Reports to: Senior Web Developer
The innovation centre is a newly established team within Cathay Pacific's IT division. The team will focus on researching, introducing and delivering new technologies into Cathay Pacific's business and IT environment, with initial focus on web and mobile solutions.
Team will focus on two major areas 1) Designing, building and delivering B2C, B2E and B2B mobile applications 2) Prototyping mobile applications
As a web developer you will work with a very energetic team to design, build,test and deploy web applications and prototypes using Agile/Scrum methodology..
Key responsibilities:
- Designing, building, testing and deploying web applications and/or prototypes following best practices
- Will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.
- Own the delivery of an entire piece of web application and prototypes
- Will work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Design and define the interactions between various systems or components
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in software development, of which 2-5 years involved in web development using Agile/Scrum methodology
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical disciplines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, team player
- Experience in HTML5, CSS 3 and cross browser integration.
- Familiar with responsive and adaptive web design
- Familiarity with content management systems siuch as Adobe CQ5.
- Experience in SOA (REST,JSON), as well as Java, JavaScript and JQuery programming skills
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operation
