Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• To assist senior team members in originating and executing lending and advisory transactions (i) for Chinese clients globally or (ii) for international clients in China
• Flexibility to support wider project finance team on deals in other markets
• Deal origination duties to include meeting clients, preparing proposals, presentations, etc.
• Deal execution duties to include preparing credit applications, risk and financial analysis, term sheet negotiation, etc
• Financial advisory duties to include developing financial model, prepare information memorandum, negotiations with prospective lenders, etc.
• To support interaction and coordination with global teams
• To ensure all KYC procedures are complied with on transactions
• To provide support in researching new sectors and products
• To handle other project finance activities as assigned

Requirements:

• Open minded candidate with self-motivation and right attitude to outperform
• Degree holder with at least 3 years of relevant experience in structured finance and lending/advisory with Chinese clients (onshore and cross border deals)
• Experience in credit risk analysis
• Strong numerical and financial modelling capabilities
• Strong negotiation, influencing and problem solving skills
• Team player with good communication skills
• Multi-tasking and attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Native / near native Mandarin speaker and fluency in English are a must. Knowledge of Spanish language is a plus
• Flexibility required for traveling to China and overseas
