Our client, a listed company on mainboard is looking for caliber to join its’ project team as Clerk of Works responsible for large scale mixed used project in HK. It is an in-house role at developer.

Key responsibilities including:

• Being construction inspector, manage day-to-day operation of construction site, oversee work details, procedures, progress, quality and safety of work, make sure building plans and specifications are being followed correctly.
• Monitor site plan, construction program, progress of works by various contractors and subcontractors. Review, vetting of, and comment on technical submissions by consultants and contractors. Coordinate with site team (including consultants and contractors, government departments and utilities etc.) to ensure compliance on the contract drawings and specifications, statutory requirements, and other specific requirements for carrying out of works on site.
• Represent the interest of company to ensure the quality of both materials and workmanship are in accordance with the design information such as specification and engineering drawings, in addition to recognized quality standards.
• Attend site meeting and prepare site reports. Report regularly with internal parties on status of the project, identity key issues and possible solutions whenever necessary. Coordinate for high quality handover standard and manage defects.

Requirements: 

• Degree holder in Building Studies, Construction Management or related disciplines
• At least 10 years of relevant experiences with track record in inspecting large scale building construction projects in Hong Kong.
• Clerk of Works experience in construction site, architectural, fit-out, structural, civil or related works of commercial projects
• Familiar with Building Regulations and well versed in coordination of services and construction details
• Well organized, responsible and able to work under pressure
• Good interpersonal and communication skills including good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Knowledge in MS word and Excel
