Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage Windows/Linux servers and core systems infrastructure on physical hardware and virtual machines
• Create and maintain operation procedures and general systems documentation
• Provide operational support to IT systems including server monitoring, backup and restore, patching, and other duties as required
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Perform analysis, diagnosis, resolution of complex infrastructure problems with both internal & external parties and provide end-user support
• Conduct root-cause analysis, recommend and implement corrective hardware and software solutions
• Evaluate and prepare specification for new or enhancement projects
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and adhere to company security policies
• Train and mentor staff to use and implement the latest policies & procedures and best practices to accomplish tasks, share knowledge and collaborate with teammates
• Available for off-hours on call support or emergency support as needed

Requirements:

• Higher diploma or above in Computer Science or related disciplines
• At least 5 years relevant solid experience, with well-rounded production operations background is preferable
• 5 years of current Linux (CentOS) and Windows Server 2008 or newer experience
• 5 years of experience in core Windows infrastructure, including Active Directory, certificate services, DNS, DHCP, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Email system, WSUS, MySQL and various other core network/service oriented protocols
• 5 years of experience with Hypervisor Virtualization such as VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V including experience building a virtual infrastructure
• 2 years of experience in shell scripting or programming in languages such as PowerShell or Python
• Understanding of server hardware and sizing cross-platform integrations (i.e. heterogeneous operating system support)
  
• Familiar with configuring server operating system security
• Experienced in configuration management (Chef, Puppet, SCCM) is an advantage
• Possess exposure in cloud platform and DevOps background is desirable
• Highly self-motivated and directed with proven ability to work alone and collaborate with project teams to meet stakeholders’ expectation
• Strong interpersonal skills such as listening, decision making, negotiation and conflict resolution, able to demonstrate trouble-shooting ability
• Good command of spoken and written Cantonese, Mandarin and English
