The Role
The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

• Ensure the correctness of inbound and outbound container movement figures
• Consolidate all related documents from shipping lines
• Perform cargo planning and compile crane working program, stowage plan and operation reports
• Submit documents to Ship Officer upon ship arrival and departure
• Assist Ship Officer in handling issues related to ship stability
• Solve stowage-related problems on technical side and handle unexpected issues on board by adjusting loading stowage

The Person
The ideal candidate should have / be:

• University degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics Management, Transportation, Operation Management or related discipline with 1-year relevant experience, or
• Diploma in related discipline with 4 years relevant experience, or
• Form 5 or above with 6 years relevant experience
• Experience in ship planning and terminal operations is an advantage
• Proficient in MS application and preferably with experience in using SAP & NAVIS system for ship-planning function
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
• Good planning and organizing, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Initiative and customer oriented
• Willing to perform outdoor jobs on shift basis
