RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create consistent, polished illustrations for various creative deliverables including: Key art, Character skin, Matte Painting and illustration for US gaming audience.

• Create character, creature, environmental concepts that include landscapes, architectural designs, props, and occasional mood paintings.

• Manage all steps of the illustration process, starting from producing rough sketches in order to communicate your ideas to the creation of high-quality photo-realistic key art.

• Collaborating with the game director to set the visual style and quality bar

• Ability to give and receive feedback with concept artists and mech/character artists

• Keep up with industry trends and developments

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of industry experience as a illustrator

• Master level competence of Photoshop, with a focus on painting.

• Creative mindset

• Autonomous and proactive.

• Excellent illustration skills, deep understanding of human and creature anatomy, with a keen eye towards composition, perspective, lighting, value, color theory, form, structure, shape language, and silhouette.

• Strong foundation in the traditional arts including but not limited to painting, sculpture, figure drawing, illustration.

• Able to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration, and an understanding of how to adapt these ideas for marketing.

• Strong understanding of the human form / anatomy, background storytelling, lighting, composition, perspective, and color theory.

• Great at brainstorming, taking direction, collaborating and being part of a team.
