Company Profile

Our client is a well-established applied Science and Technology Research Company. It focuses on applied research with both public sector bodies or private sector businesses. They are now hiring a general counsel for company’s legal matters.

Your new role

As a general counsel, you need to ensure the company is complying with all the applicable laws and requirements. You have to review and negotiate contacts to provide and advise on company’s risk assessment. You also need to advise on the legal risks of company’s business initiatives.

Requirements

• LLB degree holder with 15 years PQE, working experience in the public sector or high-tech industry is preferred
• Solid experience and in-depth knowledge of IT and IP laws
• Good legal drafting and negotiation skill (in English and Chinese languages) 
• Good communication skill in handling legal related enquiries from business and technical teams is highly preferred

• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
