About Our Client

Our client is a fast expanding and pioneering financial services, wealth and asset management group, providing products and services to high net wealth individuals across the globe.  As they continue to expand their global presence in the US, Europe and into Asia Pacific, they are now looking for a Head of Finance to lead all their international finance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will be responsible for all day to day strategic and operational finance activities across all group businesses.  You will be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching and upskilling the group finance team to oversee the finance functions in all international jurisdictions
• Consolidating and compiling all financial and regulatory reporting for the group
• Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting process, tax planning, cash flow and treasury management
• Be a key business partner to all business lines, prepare management reports and analysis and work with the business to drive increased profitability
• Work strategically with all senior management and group stakeholders to support investment evaluation for expansion activities, new market entries, M&A and other investment opportunities
• Identifying and driving improvements to all systems and processes across the finance function to increase efficiency and streamline procedures

Job Requirements

This is a high profile position within the group for someone dynamic and keen to step into a senior level group role where you will have the chance to drive change and make a difference.  You will be:

• Qualified ACA/CPA accountant or have a comparable professional qualification
• Have a minimum of 10-12 years’ relevant experience, ideally trained in a Big 4 firm and have commercial experience in a corporate role with a leading international brand name company
• Knowledge and experience of working within financial services, insurance, wealth and asset management is a distinct advantage
• Strong leadership skills and enjoying nurturing, coaching and developing the team to step up, integrate further in the business and add value
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and have the confidence and executive gravitas to present effectively to the management team
• High level of EQ and an innate ability to listen, influence effectively and win buy-in to adopt changes and new ideas
• Bring best practices, integrity and help drive more sophisticated and efficient methods of operating to the business
• Have a strong eye for detail, versatility and ability to work in a dynamic and constantly growing environment
• Take ownership and accountability and be able to work independently in an unstructured fast paced firm
