To assist in carrying out all duties necessary for the successful functioning of Communications Department in the China Office

Responsibilities:

• To coordinate with zonal offices and support the new initiatives of World Vision China and World Vision Partnership, and pay special attention to disasters
• To prepare and send stories, photos, maps, photo report and project information to World Vision support offices on a regular or ad hoc basis
• To assist in collecting data, translating/writing and helping oversee the design/production of literature, audio-visual materials and website information
• To help & coordinate media interviews upon request
• To assist in the reception and orientation for guests who visit China Office

Requirements:

• Degree in either Communications, Translation or Journalism
• 5 years’ work experience with Communication, Translation or Journalism experience is an advantage
• Photography and other audio-visual production knowledge are preferred
• Good coordination, planning and implementation capabilities; able to work independently and build up resource network
• Good communication skills in both written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua) and English
• Travel to the rural remote areas in the PRC is required
