Responsibilities:

• Accountable to ensure materials demands are met, working with Sales teams to provide alternatives or substitutions as needed to compensate for shortages, rejections, new priorities and related problems;
• Build a purchasing team to manage orders, T&A, pricing and inventory;
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve material planning, cost, flexibility, quality and lead time;
• Build strategic relationships with outside suppliers and internal business partners;
• Identify new suppliers, negotiate bulk pricing;
• Develop forecasts, negotiate minimum orders and purchase on JIT basis;
• Participate as an active member of the management team;
• Prepare reports and presentations as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior manager and above level in garment / textile industry;
• Familiar with Asian and European suppliers;
• Strong understanding of inventory planning, forecasting techniques and operational system;
• Unquestioned integrity and track record;
• Possess good business sense, strategic mindset and excellent interpersonal skill, particularly in team building;
• Highly motivated and able to think clearly under pressure;
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills;
• Fluent in English and Mandarin;
• Work place is based in Shenzhen, China.
