Our client from a global manufacturing company is looking for a Packaging Engineer to provide technical support to their client from ideation through design till manufacturing for primary packaging. He/she is working in a team of 50 and reporting to the Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Review client requirements and deliver new product development conceptual design
• Prepare engineering drawings by AutoCAD/ SolidWorks or selected material to fulfil the testing requirements
• Ensure which test samples are fully evaluated to meet client needs and quality requirements
• Prepare shot samples testing and evaluation for reporting
• Validate mass production methods and processes
• Provide technical advice and suggestions for process improvement and failure analysis
• Follow up and examine the issue of design or manufacturing, identify the problem and propose possible solutions and conduct trouble shooting
• Provide recommendation on the product design and manufacturing technology to factories

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related
• Minimum of 3 years related experience in product development or technical design in OEM
• Understanding of plastic injection molding, die casting and metal stamping, secondary operation/decoration for plastic and metal components
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Verbal and written communication skills in both English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Knowledge of National and International regulations e.g. ISO9000, REACH, CA Prop.65, Coneg
• Familiar with using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Pro-E as drafting tools
• Travel is required
