Job Description

Job Overview:

As the Senior Business Development Manager – Apparel, Asia your primary role will be responsible for business development of major programs with the world’s best apparel brands. He / She will manage, coach and develop the Asia Liaison Office and China Brand Sales Team in establishing/managing business relationships with China Domestic brands and Asian Liaison offices affiliated with US and EU Apparel Brands, etc... to secure and/or maintain Bemis product selection (specification) in achieve Bemis’s revenue targets in the Apparel market.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute on a sales plan aligned with company strategic goals. Commit to achieving the sales plan and aspire to achieve the stretch goal.
  • Provide appropriate support for the development & execution of top opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain top to top relationships with key customers.
  • Identify key decision makers at the Liaison office level and China Domestic Brand customers to extent of their decision-making authority in terms of product selection/secure specification and work to ensure that market share is protected and/or increased as a result.
  • Establish new accounts by qualifying opportunities.
  • Work directly with designers, developers, product directors on specification process, technical issues, supply chain management, and forecasting (internally and externally).
  • Work with Bemis Planning and Account Management Teams to insure effective production, stocking and delivery.
  • Coordinate technical service between customer and Bemis Hong Kong/US/EU and Asia Regional offices.
  • Provide regular reporting via Customer Management Software (among other tools such as CRM, Plan Letter /Call reports and summaries) that identify competitive threats, sales opportunities, product transitions, market trends, product development needs, etc.
  • Travel is required to ensure active communication, an ongoing/visible presence and strong relationships are in place at the Liaison Office and China Brand Office level.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of Sales and Sales management experience.
  • Good at written and oral English and Mandarin skills.
  • Successful selling experience of component products in the Garment /Textile Industry.
  • Demonstrated passion and knowledge of Apparel products.
  • History of successful specification/consultative selling at brand or Liaison office level.
  • Assertive sales acumen: excellent qualifying, prioritization, time-management, organization, relationship building, presentation and communication skills.
