The successful candidate will be responsible for daily financial accounting activities. In addition to the operation in Hong Kong, you will also assist in the setting up of a new accounting department in our new business unit in Bangkok, Thailand. You will also be actively involved in working closely with finance and non-finance business leaders across Hong Kong and Thailand operations to bring positive results to the Business.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the month-end closing process and preparation of accounting schedules
• Assist in compiling monthly management accounting reporting and forecast analysis 
• Assist in sales and costing analysis review and budgeting
• Assist in projects on process improvements and business control
• Assist and support in year-end statutory audit and preparation of tax computation & supporting schedules for tax filing to the IRD
• Deal with tax computation and annual statutory audit, external and internal auditors;
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of our annual budgeting process by working closely with operation leadership team;
• Work on a 6-month project in Thailand which is focusing on operation aspect, more opportunities for financial/ management reporting aspect will be provided

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; with 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally as well as written
• Professional qualification such as HKICPA would be considered a plus
• Prior experience or involvement in improvement projects would be considered a plus
• We are looking for someone who is positive, meticulous, hands-on, independent, confidence, strong analytical and business mindset; exercise initiative, self-motivated, willing to work under pressure with a can do spirit, good problem solving skills; and is able to work in dynamic working environment, work well with different stakeholders and take a leading role in various ad-hoc projects.
• Proficiency in using MS office (Excel functions like Pivot Table, VLookUp, Word, PowerPoint); the use of accounting system, analysis of financial and operating information to facilitate decision making, and recommend actions to improve performance
• Good command of English and Chinese. Knowledge of Thai is an advantage
• Frequent travel to Thailand for a 6-month project
