Responsibilities:

• To assist the Head of Health Department in providing technical support to maternal and child health and nutrition projects, infectious diseases control such as HIV and TB projects in different provinces of China; the technical support includes project design, monitoring and evaluation (DME)
• To assist in the design and implementation of capacity building of health staff in different project sites in China
• To assist in managing health projects
• To assist in networking and liaison with health related governmental and non-governmental organizations in China

Requirements:

• Degree holder in public health, nutrition, dietetics, or medical anthropology
• At least 4 years’ work experience in related areas is required for the position of Program Officer; applicants with less work experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Program Officer
• Have interest in public health in China, particularly in child health and nutrition
• Able to appreciate the linkage between health, nutrition and development
• Being independent, responsible, team-player or willing to learn how to work in a team, have interest in people
• Sensitive to the different cultures in China and willing to work among the marginalized groups and poor people in China
• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua) and English
• Competent in basic computer skills, preferably in English and Chinese
• Need to reside in Mainland China
