Key Responsibilities

Financial Controllership team is one of the key functions in Group Finance to drive the Group’s financial reporting framework & financial policy to ensure quality, timely and meaning financial information are provided to management for decision making.

The team ensures an adequate financial reporting and controllership framework is maintained to safeguard the integrity of the financial information and data. Enhance systems functionality to align with financial business processes, along with oversight and support in special projects working alongside the finance team

• Act as the bridge between the third party system vendor and the technical expertise in IT to support delivery of value to the Group Finance team
• Manage changes to system requirements and ensuring that change requests go through the change management process
• Troubleshoot user issues such as calculations, validation rules, user security, application functionality, and data loads
• Supporting the Group Finance team to identify user systems requirements and recommend enhancements to optimise and maintain financial system functionality and performance;
• Ensuring data integrity and implementing processes to protect data integrity between source systems and reporting environments
• Perform regular review on the system financial system maintenance duties
• Manage the renewal process of user licenses with Oracle
• Prepare monthly consolidated report, financial statement and other analysis breakdown using Hyperion Financial System (HFM)
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditor & monitoring the external audit process
• Handle any ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or auditing (no commercial experience will also be considered)
• In-depth working experience managing and maintaining a consolidation system (i.e. Hyperion, Cognos, etc.) is an advantage
• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
• Relevant professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Detailed minded with good analytical and problem solving skills
• Understanding of the financial reconciliation processes to ensure data quality management
• Proven ability to learn and test new business application functionalities
• Ability to converse between accounting and data management concepts
• Good team player with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Highly motivated with ability to deal with ambiguities
• Experienced in HFM (Hyperion) with advance proficiency in MS Excel is a must
• Professional fluency in written and oral English with a good command of Chinese proficiency
