One of Hong Kong's largest organisations is going through a major IT Transformation project and is looking for experienced System Analysts to join their team.

As a Systems Analyst, you will be working with external and internal stakeholders to understand the requirements needed for application development and support projects.

Key Responsibilites:

Delivery of Major and Minor Projects    

• Understand business requirements of assigned major/minor projects, define technical design and ensure that the software applications delivered are aligned with company strategic directions and business goals
• Identify and document technical constraints, assumptions and risks associated with the technical design
• Critically evaluate and analyse requirements gathered from various sources, reconcile conflicts and leverage project team members to deliver functional and technical specifications
• Ensure that functional and technical specifications are fully mapping and meeting requirements as well as the defined solution design
• Participate in the design and execution of Proof-of-Concept activities
• Ensure compliance with software development methodologies and practice
• Recommend / Oversee software quality assurance activities eg. Unit Test, System Test, Code Review etc.
• Support the implementation of the solution

Vendor Management    

• Review vendor deliverables to ensure quality as well as compliance to the technical design

Job Requirements :

• Minimum 6 years working experience in IT
• Experience with Java development
• Experience with PL/SQL
• Experience with Cognos is NOT necessary but preferred.
• Tertiary qualifications are essential
• Proven experience in SDLC and development methodologies
• Solid experience in software analysis and design, software development and vendor management
• Ability to work multiple IT groups, service providers and business users in application development and support
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
• Good communications and interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilities
