Job Description

The primary role of this position is to ensure established procurement processes and strategies are implemented effectively for a variety of commodities and components.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain Group’s related procurement strategy, policy and procedures
  • Assist in Vendor Management and expedite/defer deliveries of components to support development, production and maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Participate in price negotiation with vendors and ensure price approval process for new product development and mature items are done in place
  • Manage projects related to purchasing (cost saving, lead time & etc.)
  • Collaborate with teams and vendors to ensure assigned tasks could be completed efficiently
  • Review materials supply status of vendors and factories with pro-active approach to minimize manufacturing risk
  • Analyze current procurement activities and recommends improvement when required
  • Provide guidance and assistance to team members in all aspects on costing and purchasing
  • Support management by providing insight from reports and suggestion for sourcing strategy formulation
  • Continuously develop and maintain a strong vendor database who can consistently meet and exceed our requirements on cost, quality and delivery
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor

 

Requirement:

  • A Bachelor Degree holder 
  • 5 years or above experience in related fields or functions
  • Working in a sizable company is a definite advantage
  • Proven record in excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Fluent verbal, presentation and written skills in English and Mandarin
  • Proficiency in Windows, MS Office & Outlook (preferably Advanced level in Excel e.g. Pivot Table and VLookUp) 
  • Independent, detailed and able to work under tight timelines
  • Able to navigate and influence as trusted adviser to leadership team
