Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage the translation workflows to ensure quality deliverable with tight schedules
• Proofread English and Chinese news summaries prepared by sub-ordinates
• Perform headline and synoptic translations from Chinese to English and vice versa
• Provide feedback and recommendations on translation-related trends, workflows and possible improvements
• Adhere to and update client-specific redaction and style guidelines

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree Holder in translation, journalism or any related disciplines 
• At least 8 years of solid experience in English and Chinese translation and editing; experience in translating Chinese-written news into English is highly desirable
• Experience in managing a small team is preferred
• Excellent writing skills in English and Chinese
• Meticulous, highly organized and able to work in a very fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Well versed in MS Office applications (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
