The Role

The Object Intelligence Researcher will be responsible for entering and updating digital records of works of art by consolidating information from internal and external sources. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to enter data into Christie’s systems. An additional ability to successfully analyze data and complete complex tasks accurately and with minimal oversight is essential. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and experienced in database management and/or archival practices.

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
• Perform data entry with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Input market intelligence into database in accordance with formatting guidelines
• Review and consolidate object-related data, continually enhancing Christie’s object database
• Scan images from publications and digitally manipulate files
• Gather in-depth intelligence on artwork using internal and external sources

The Candidate

• Minimum 2 years internship/work experience in administrative roles that demonstrate organizational skills
• Experience with database management and/or archival work with demonstrated ability for speedy data entry
• Impeccable attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy
• Ability to follow directions and adhere to internal processes and guidelines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Tech savvy; ability to quickly learn new technologies and troubleshoot issues
• Good excel skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and diplomacy
• Ability to read and write Traditional Chinese
• Working knowledge or interest in Asian Art a plus.
• Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently on long-term projects
