in Advanced Learning Experiences Division

To assist the Head of ALED in strategic planning, implementation and evaluation and provide students, parents and education practitioners with STEM programmes and services that foster the individualized and advanced development of the gifted students.

Candidates must have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree/ PhD is an advantage) in the field of Sciences and/or Engineering from a Hong Kong university or equivalent; at least 4 years post-degree work experience in education or work experience in related fields of education.

The Academy is a non-profit making organisation set up to provide structured educational services for exceptionally gifted students as well as to support teachers, parents and academics. It will provide off-school learning opportunities for gifted young people aged from 10 to 18 years to enable them to reach their potential in a wide range of specialist areas, including leadership, creativity, personal-social competence, to promote wholeperson development, and to develop their confidence in pursuit of excellence and commitment to serving their community. It will also help to provide guidance to parents of gifted students, as well as training courses for teachers in specialist areas.
