Job Description

Scope of Duties: 

Responsible for the development and implementation (through partnership with Group companies) a broad range People Safety improvement programmes across the HAECO Group. Responsible for defining and promoting the Group Safety Management Improvement strategy and the development of Safety professionals across Group.

  • Define and support implementation of the HAECO Group Safety Management System improvement plan by being an active and decisive member of the Group Business Improvement Leadership Team
  • Co-ordinate a programme of People Safety initiatives, drive implementation, continually monitor and ensure plans are up to date and periodically report project status at a Group level
  • Maintain the Group level Business Continuity Crisis Management (BCCM) manual and advise on BCCM across all companies
  • Monitor corrective actions for safety issues to ensure close-out in a timely manner, provide periodic reports on safety performance and analysis across the Group
  • Lead coordination of all activities related to the maintenance and development of the HAECO HK Business Continuity and Crisis Management (BCCM) system
  • Lead and coach the company Safety Leadership teams to help embed a continuous safety improvement culture within the Group Companies
  • Build strong, dependable relations with Business Leaders, People Safety managers and teams and other Functional Leaders
  • Identify, develop and implement effective initiatives, utilising appropriate tools, methodologies and processes, to reduce operational and hazard-based risk exposures across the Group companies and ensure action plans are implemented, continually monitored and up to date
  • Ensure that lessons learned from internal investigations and external sources are shared across the HAECO Group and required actions are tracked and reviewed
  • Identify, share and support implementation of best practices from across the HAECO Group business, Swire companies’ and other relevant industries

Requirements: 

  • A recognized degree; Engineering, Safety Management disciplines an advantage
  • Minimum of 4 years of solid experience in Safety Management
  • Registered Safety Officer / Auditor an advantage
  • Continuous Improvement experience / Lean Sigma Greenbelt an advantage
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written
  • Proficiency in report writing and presentations using advanced software applications
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written
  • Strong report writing skill, analytical skill, energetic and resourceful
  • Strong competency in Safety & Risk Management
  • Strong understanding of MRO industry & associated safety risks
  • Good teamwork, supervisory, leadership and strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure to deliver results
