The Company

Our client is a very large listed company in Hong Kong with large branded retail operation in China / Asia. They are now looking for an experienced OD Head who will serve as a mature business partner to support all aspects of the HR function

 

Job Summary

Position:           Senior Director of Organization Development

Department:          Human Resources Department, Organization & Talent Development Function

Report to:       VP Human Resources

 

Responsibilities

  • Formulate organization and talent development strategies/ plans according to Company’s strategic directions (people & business), lead the implementation and ensure all the initiatives are practical and meet the business requirements
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the company's organizational structure, organizational effectiveness, team atmosphere or from other aspects, and lead necessary and timely optimization or adjustment to meet the needs of the business
  • Formulate & lead all talent development initiatives (e.g. HIPO/ Succession Planning) to develop key talents e.g. Leaders or Core Professional to meet the company, business requirements and self- development of the key talents
  • Review, refine & lead performance management include but not limit to performance management system, operation mechanism optimization, and setup appropriate performance management measures align with business situations
  • Oversee training & development budget
  • Manage & coach team members in enabling them to utilize their competencies & potentials to drive performance
  • Build an excellent organization and talent development team to strengthen stronger support to management
  • Provide organizational and talent-related advice to senior executives and participate in relevant decision-making process
  • Work closely with other HR functions and build strong partnership with all key stakeholders
  • Lead or participate in some key projects as required
  • Another other assignment by senior executives

 

The Person

  • A bachelor degree or equivalent in Business, Organization Development, Industrial/ Organizational Psychology. Candidates with postgraduate degrees / qualification in the relevant fields will be highly preferred
  • More than 15 years of solid working experience related to Organization Development and Talent Development
  • Candidates with more experiences will be considered at VP level
  • Good working experience in first-class retail company, working experience in famous sports footwear & apparel brands is preferred
  • Both consultant and in-house experience is a plus
  • Proven track record in driving organization development and talent management initiatives/ projects
  • Proactive, diligent and pragmatic, with a strong sense of dedication and ownership
  • Strong communication & influential skills in building relationship with people, able to engage in in-depth communication and dialogue with C-suit executives
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strategic mindset
  • Strong leadership skills across working teams as well as leading teams
  • Strong business sense and results-oriented, experience in front-line business operations in a retail company is a plus
  • Excellent command in both written and verbal English & Chinese. Able to speak Cantonese is a plus but not essential
  • Business travel within China & overseas may be required per business needs
