Job Description

We're looking for Mandarin Instructors who have a passion to teach Chinese, build engaging curriculum and to help with basic administrative tasks. Students will predominantly have an English background so a grasp of the English language is important.

The role also works closely with our head instructor whom you will also assist in developing our in-house curriculum while recognizing how to match and organize the way instructors connect with students. You will need to possess the willingness to learn and be organized.

Since MeeOpp is an Education Technology startup, this also means that the role is flexible and requires you to be adaptable and a quick learner. You may be tasked with work that is outside your scope but our team will provide guidance and full support on any task at hand.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching 1-1 students Mandarin via our in-house online video system
• Create engaging content and materials for students
• Train and interact with our associate instructors to ensure everything is on point
• Handle ad-hoc duties as assigned by Lead Instructor and Co-founders

Requirements:

• Native Mandarin speaker with high proficiency in English
• At least 1 year teaching experience gained from schools, international schools exposure would be an advantage
• Familiar with the use of applications e.g. Google doc, slide presentations, etc.
• Strong communication skills
• Creative, able to take initiatives and organised
• Passionate about education and technology is a plus!
