Requirements:

• A recognized degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or other related disciplines;
• Professional Qualification MHKIE / MIStructE / CEng or equivalent;
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in large-scale building construction projects with minimum 2 years in a managerial position;
• Developers / consultants with site experience are preferred;
• Good understanding of commercial considerations and business practices in the local construction market;
• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills;
• A proactive, resourceful, energetic character and can work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain effective and efficient project management of civil / structural engineering and building works, including overall project implementation and delivery, as well as financial aspects of the relevant works;
• Lead the Structural design consultants and construction contractors to ensure that project delivery, programme and budget requirements are met;
• Ensure the implementation of project requirements in drawings and specifications;
• Work in close liaison and coordination with various stakeholders to identify and resolve constraints;
• Participate in the design and planning processes of projects and provide engineering supports during the implementation phase of the design and construction until commissioning;
• Monitor project progress to ensure it is completed on time, within budget, and in accogrdance with quality and safety standards;
• Manage performance of all consultancies, contractors, and other external vendors;
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical due diligence studies;
• Schedule the construction works in logical steps and meet the required deadlines;
• Inspect and monitor the construction works progress, quality of works and compliance with building codes and regulations;
• Monitor the contractor to obtain all necessary permits and licences;
• Direct and supervise contractors;
• Study specifications to determine appropriate construction methods;
• Review and coordinate materials submissions with contractors and consultants;
• Take action to deal with the contractors any emergencies at construction site.
