Job Description

A leading Hong Kong based hedge fund with an outstanding track record and stable management team is now seeking a top notch and highly meticulous Senior Fund Accountant / Operations expert to help oversee their back office operations. This is an exceptional opportunity that will expose you to industry leaders and professionals to further propel your career.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily trade affirmations
  • Manage daily cash and positions reconciliations
  • Facilitate and monitor trade settlements
  • Handle treasuring tasks; including margin & financing 
  • Corporate actions monitoring and processing
  • Active monitoring of pricing and profit and loss within the PMS
  • Daily production of internal shadow NAV
  • NAV reconciliations to fund administrators
  • Invoice processing and controls
  • Liaise with fund administrators
  • Participate in systems enhancements and projects designed to optimize operational workflow
  • Mentor and manage junior team members
  • Oversight and review of funds’ annual financial statements
  • Review of investor US tax reporting
  • Any other ad hoc duties as assigned 

 

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with buy-side firms
  • Prior experience working with fund administrator and/or financial services audit
  • Series accounting experience and familiarity with feeder/master fund structure
  • Familiarity with various performance fee structures
  • Understand NAV construction & control process
  • Strong product knowledge of equities and swaps
  • Hands on project experience
  • Strong understanding of financial services, related products and services, operational requirements and procedures, market and technology related trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Technically savvy and forward thinking
  • Fluent command of English; written and spoken
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset with ability to multitask and meet with tight deadlines
  • Great attitude and able to collaborate with the larger team
