Responsibilities

Buying Function

• Develop merchandising strategies for the region with the team.
• Define product mix of ready-to-wear and shoes of each market.
• Prepare seasonal open-to-buy together with Business Planning Team.
• Attend seasonal buying sessions in Paris to ensure best merchandise is purchased at appropriate quantities and sizes to achieve targeted sales projections and sell-through.
• Prepare sales forecast on products.
• Deliver reliable sales planning data and work closely with Supply Chain Department for production distribution and allocation.

Merchandising Function

• Act as the coordinator for all ready-to-wear and shoes related issues between Paris HQ, countries and boutiques.
• Provide the boutique network with relevant collection and product information, sales strategies, and selling techniques.
• Plan seasonal product launch to preview new collection for Elite and VIC clients; Plan trunk shows/ fashions shows and prepare looks for showcasing.
• Work with VM on collection/ product launches, boutique remerchandising & season end sale.
• Plan seasonal markdown schedules and provide markdown list for all boutiques.
• Propose season end discount and control discount to be in line with budget.
• Prepare review reports on product.
• Analyse sales performance through sell-through analysis & propose action plan.
• Control inventory level.
• Arrange retail pricing for all markets to be in line with price policy & global positioning as set by Paris.
• Arrange transfer of merchandise to maximize sell through percentage.
• Conduct market research, competitors analysis, market & product trends as well as pricing.

Others

• Compile regular sales analysis reports of all region to ascertain sales performance for the all product categories.
• Weekly sales performance reports.
• Monthly sales forecast.
• Best seller reports.
• Any ad hoc reports, regional consolidation

Requirement

• University graduate in Fashion Merchandising or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in merchandising of luxury good and service related industry preferred
• General computer literacy & strong in excel
• Training coaching skill
• Language skills: English, Cantonese & Mandarin, other language ability is an added advantage
• Aggressive, Detail-minded, Target-oriented, Strong fashion sense
