Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend fabric/trim fairs and visit mills regularly to update the latest trend/innovative products
  • Analyze sourcing request to determine the best route for development
  • Negotiate best price, lead time, MOQ with suppliers
  • Responsible for the sourcing & development of all raw materials in line with calendar deadlines
  • Work close with NY counterpart balance price, quality, and aesthetic while level setting expectations 
  • Follow up FDS and update PLM as needed
  • Highlight any potential risk to NY counterpart and provide suggestion whenever possible
  • Manage development testing and work close with cross functional teams to ensure the fabric/trim is acceptable for production
  • Manage Woven fabric TNA and work close with manager to alert NY of any potential impact on booking and delivery
  • Continue to seek opportunities for key program to ensure we are under the best market position
  • Establish & build strong relationship with suppliers
  • Keep clear record and update the system with accurate fabric/trim information in timely manner.
  • Add new suppliers in PLM to assist NY team
  • Ensure NY team is aware of potential mill visits to NY to schedule fabric appointments

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Higher diploma or above in related discipline
  • 8+ years relevant experience, at least 3 years in senior position
  • Strong in sourcing and development, experience in buying office is preferable
  • Knowledge in fabric production process
  • Self-motivated, business acumen, creative, resourceful
  • Willing to take challenges and able to work under pressure
  • Good command of written and oral English and Mandarin
  • Frequent travel is required
