Objective

This role reports to the Chief Legal Counsel and Chief Compliance & Risk Officer.

Your responsibility is to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, industry codes, organisational standards, policies and procedures in our Hong Kong and Macau operations. You will also be responsible to assist in some Business Continuity duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist on all legal and regulatory matters, in particular, to assist in ensuring that relevant legal and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong, Macau and other applicable jurisdictions are complied with.
• Assist with the corporate secretarial function.
• Provide legal advice in connection with major business initiatives and transactions.
• Assist to ensure that the Chubb Business Compliance Framework is in place, applied, monitored and updated as required across the organisation, covering both Hong Kong and Macau.
• Assist with complaint investigations and replies.
• Assist in undertaking tasks to ensure the company’s Business Continuity program, plans, exercises and reporting is undertaken in accordance with company standards.
• Provide trainings to management and staff on compliance, risk and data protection.

 Requirements:

•  LLB/JD with at least 4 years of legal and compliance experience in regulatory, or other financial areas, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Sound knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Have a track record as a significant individual contributor – comfortable working independently, whilst working closely with individuals at various levels.
• Demonstrate effective written and spoken communication, negotiation and problem resolution skills to be capable of dealing with all levels of personnel as well as external parties.
• Demonstrate ability to function in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple and diverse responsibilities.
• Able to work in a diverse environment and culture.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
