Duties:

• Manage the day-to-day financial operation activities and month-end closing
• Verify accuracy of documents and make necessary calculation, prepare vouchers, postings and data input
• Handle full set of accounts, prepare financial statements, reconciliation and ad hoc management reports independently
• Be involved in budgeting process and prepare financial analysis
• Be responsible for internal and external audit, prepare audit schedules and filing of regulatory financial reports
• Be involved in financial system implementation/upgrade project or report automation process
• Assist in financial policies and process improvement review and implement recommendations
• Provide accounting guidance to staff at schools and education centre in Hong Kong and Macau respectively
• Perform any other legitimate duties assigned by the supervisor and management

Requirements:

• Understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army
• Degree in Accounting or Finance or related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience
• Experience in audit, accounting, shared service is an advantage
• Experience in system implementation or process automation is preferable
• Proficiency in accounting system, e.g. Oracle and O365 applications
• Detail-minded with good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good time management and able to work under pressure
• Good command of English and Chinese (spoken and written), knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
