Due to our recent growth and ambitious targets for 2014, we are currently recruiting a JAVA Software Engineer to join our Hong-Kong Office.

 Your job responsibilities will be:

• Understand technical and functional requirements
• Draw up specifications according to requirements
• Develop components for our Market Making product
• Ensure code is rigorously tested before deployment to Quality Assurance Team
• Provide 2nd level offsite client support when required
• Assist the Technical Service team during the implementation phase
• Support the application setup, testing, fine-tuning and troubleshooting

 Skills and abilities required are:

• Bachelor degree or above in Computer Sciences or related disciplines
• Expert JAVA skills: at least 3 years of practical experience of J2SE to build  low latency  UI applications - Swing
• Knowledge on JMX, JUnit, Eclipse, SVN, CVS, Oracle, SQL and XML would be beneficial
• Practical Experience with Unix/Linux/Shell Script
• Familiarity with Spring, Hibernate
• Good knowledge of Capital Markets
• Knowledge of Derivative markets and Market Making applications would be an advantage
• Capable of meeting deadlines, working under pressure and multi-tasking
• Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, motivated and eager to learn
• Proficiency in English AND Mandarin  is mandatory
