Backend Engineer/ Solution Architect (up to 55k)

Our client is a fast growing Blockchain, Mobile and Web App tech firm. They have been devoted much efforts into providing highly secure, transparent and trustworthy platforms. They are now hiring more talents: 

Backend Engineer (consider fresh graduates)

Duties

• Work on web/mobile application development projects.
• Follow agile development methodology,
• Adapt to changing requirements and meet tight schedules

Requirements

• Less than 4 years of experience building software products.  Fresh graduate will also be considered
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent;
• Hands-on experience in development using JAVA, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript and SQL;
• Hands-on experience with unit testing framework, automated testing;
• Experience with messaging queues is an advantage;
• Experience with the AWS or Azure cloud computing platform is a plus;
• Knowledge in data security, cryptography, Blockchain consensus algorithm is a plus; (not a must)
• Passion in learning new technologies;
• Passion in producing large-scale systems;
• Self-motivated and fast learner;
• Strong communication skills.

Solution Architect, Technical Lead

Duties

• Interfacing with customers for collecting and steering user requirements
• Developing technical solutions, leading architectural design and programming architecture for code
• Applying mathematical, statistical and analytical skills to develop solutions
• Identifying strategies, initiatives and remedies
• Serving integration product features to product teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years application development experience which includes 2+ years as a technical lead, solution architect or equivalent in an MNCs, preferably gained in the financial services industry
• Familiar with Agile development methodology. A certified Scrum master or TOGAF certified would be an advantage
• Technical driven mindset with wide exposure to latest technologies
• A good team player with strong interpersonal skills
• A good communicator with proficiency in English
• Able to work under pressure
• Eager to take opportunities to work in a fast-paced start up environment, with a natural willingness to always go the extra mile
• Solid experience in blockchain or related systems will be an advantage
• Immediate available is highly preferred 
• Banking and Financial is highly preferred

Technical knowledge 

• Application design such as microservices, frontend design principles
• Blockchain technology such as Corda, Hyperledger, Ethereum, etc
• Development methodology such as Agile, Scrum, etc
• Project management principles such as Prince, PMP, etc
• Infrastructure deployment technology such as IaaS, PaaS, Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.
• Database such as Oracle, MongoDB, SQL server, etc. and topics around database such as HA, data replication
• Middleware such as web server, reverse proxy, messaging (eg MQ, Broker), API
• OS: Linux and various variants
• Emergent technologies and their application areas: IoT, AI, etc.
