Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Measure / Quantify / Expand

  • Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions or improving performance.
  • Analyze historical data to identify trends and support decision making.
  • Improve upon existing methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning definitions.
  • Provide requirements to develop analytic capabilities, platforms, and pipelines. 

2. Retail Business Templates, Dash boards & Governance

  • This position will be responsible for a number of enabling reports and reviews which will aim to enhance our retail business performance and key retail metrics.
  • First, the role will be integral in the maintenance, enhancement and dissemination of relevant forms of retail business dashboards. 
  • The manager will be responsible for the accuracy of the data provided, the usefulness of the metrics presented, and ensuring all key stakeholders receive the information requested in a timely manner. 
  • This position will also own the governance & will drive adherence across brands to ensure data accuracy , timeliness etc. 

 

 

3. Ad-hoc Business Decision Support & Reporting

  • This role should support and assist the business in timely recognition and reaction to market trends and customer behavior through timely and insightful ad-hoc analysis of business performance.
  • Retail performance or other ad-hoc analysis required by the business should also be provided timely.

4. Create a COE for Retail Analytics

  • Being an SME, this role is expected to partner with other brands, DT, stakeholders to help continuously monitor & upgrade capability
  • Formalize assumptions about standardization across brands & users on KPI definitions, Performance Management Reporting templates, worksheets etc. to ensure that there is a critical level of retail analytics across the organization across all levels including Store, Management & Key Stakeholders
  • Partners with all stakeholders to help evaluate tools, design & implement solutions to ensure that it directly addresses evolving business requirements

Job Requirements:

  • University graduate in Business analytics, Information management, Statistics, or related field
  • 6 years experiences in Business analytics, preferably in Retail or consumer industry
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, detail-minded with ability to interpret and translate data visually and conceptually
  • Strong influencing skills, able to communicate complex ideas and data to a broad and diverse group of stakeholders effectively
  • Excellent in report building and modeling skills, financial analysis, tolerance for and ability to overcome ambiguity to independently drive and deliver results, project management skills
  • Self-motivated and passionate about retail and must be customer centric. Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent in spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Advanced expertise in Excel, proficient with PowerPoint, data visualization skills in tools (including Tableau, Excel Pivot Charts, Power BI and Alteryx), exposure to BI tools such as Cognos or Business Objects is a plus
