Job Description

Our client is a state-owned Chinese asset manager and they are looking for a Head of Risk & Compliance to lead their Risk & Compliance team

Responsibilities:

Responsible for firm-wise Risk Management practice covering portfolio & performance risk, compliance risk and legal functions
Design and implement holistic Risk Management policy and operational framework to manage risk exposure of firm's fund management businesses
Liaise with senior management and business line to define risk limit / risk appetite / risk perimeter and develop suitable risk control measures
Supervise the daily operations of Risk & Compliance team
Train and mentor junior members of the team
Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Risk Management preferred
At least 10 years of relevant Risk Management experience working in Asset Managers or Fund houses, with at least 3 years of team management experience
Experience working in Chinese financial institutions a plus
Qualified FRM, CFA, HKICPA preferred
Excellent management, communication and organisational skills
Good command of written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) a must
