Job Description

 

The Regional Solution Architect is a catalyst and champion of innovation, responsible for influencing and supporting strategic customers in the development of high-performance smart building controls solutions and specifications. The SA will lead the definition of the smart building control solution, capture the customer use cases and clearly explain the business value of the solution to meet the customer expectations. The Solution Architect will work collaboratively with Strategic Customers  and their  selected Architect & Engineering firms and building design consultants who are focused on the following system packages: Low voltage IT infrastructure, building management systems, connected electrical power, security access control and video, lighting control, space optimization and cloud based analytical systems. Working with Schneider Electric’s local project teams the SA will influence the project design specification and support the deployment of a full smart building controls architecture based on Schneider’s award winning EcoStruxure platform. The goal is to position your solutions into the customers specification and to become sole sourced or favoured on a short list of bidders.

  • Work closely with the Strategic Account Sales Executives and Key Account Managers to win business by coaching them on solutions and supporting their sales pursuits
  • Gain the confidence of Business Units/Lines of Business so that they invest in our innovative solution proposals

 Responsibilities

  • Use real world knowledge of managing complex construction industry projects to gain credibility with strategic customers to position your solutions.
  • Develop specific Value Propositions for target strategic customers
  • Define the solution strategy based on the Value that the solution delivers, this should be measurable and tangible and within a timeframe that is compelling.
  • Define reference architectures, engineering standards and author the technical strategy documents.
  • Define the technical Offer specifications and influence the project to include your solutions in their specifications for tender.
  • Understand all relevant legislation and building code that drives the solution decision choices and any certification(s) required
  • Lead educational sessions for the customer and their channel on latest technology and business impact of Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure smart building platform.
  • Support local teams and/or EcoXpert’s with initial design support
  • Establish the “Thought Leadership” position in the market and build credibility with customers

  • Customer centric - from practical project/sales experience, able to work with consultants and win respect
  • Practical experience working in the project design phase and deep knowledge of how to influence the project specification
  • Confident speaker able to present at conferences and lead technical workshops
  • Recognized leader - able to work cross functional with BUs, command respect
