Our client is a top-tier global investment bank with strong presence worldwide.  To further strengthen their market positioning, the company is looking for a Security Engineer to join their team.  This role initially starts as a 6 months contract position, with the view to extend or turn into a permanent headcount. 

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:-

• Serve as part of the regional security implementation and remediation program to reduce vulnerabilities in technology applications, infrastructure, firmware and other areas in the Asia Pacific region
• Work closely with regional counterparts to manage the hardening of application systems, operating systems, server/platforms, database systems, and network
• Manage and execute the security hardening processes with reference to the global information security governance framework
• Handling technology risk management and ensuring regulatory and global mandated technology controls are operating effectively

 To be considered for this role as a Security Engineer, you possess the following:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
• 5-10 Years of experience within a global MNC with the preference of involvement in technology security capacities
• Hands on experience with system administration, supporting multiple platforms and applications and understanding of infrastructure technologies, including, AD, O365, Windows / UNIX platforms, Middleware, SAN Storage, DBMS
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese
