Job Description

We are seeking high caliber QA engineering talent to join a young and dynamic procurement office of a European manufacturer. The job holder is responsible to assure the quality of finished and semi-finished products from Mainland Chinese manufacturers as well as coordinate factory audits and inspections with 3rd party service providers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the project team with technical knowledge and quality control acumen from conceptual stage to final production stage
  • Coordination of 3rd party audit and inspection process by reviewing factory quality audit and inspection report and implementing corrective actions with factories
  • Monitor and drive the quality improvement of samples
  • Coordinate and potentially resolve difficulties in design manufacturing with project management team in HQ and manufacturers in Mainland China
  • Conduct unannounced factory audits and inspection where necessary
  • Conduct on-line inspections during pilot-runs and 1st mass-productions
  • Discuss and coordinate quality claims with suppliers and local sourcing team as well as project management team at HQ
  • Initiate and monitor “Correction Action Requests” in the sequence of quality claims

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a QA role within electronics industry best with lighting industry
  • Prior work experience in European company is a MUST
  • Hands-on experience on product risk assessment and evaluation
  • Highly motivated, a self-starter and willing to work under pressure
  • Proactive personality, strong communication and organizational skills
  • Versatile in MS office tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary, experience with CAD data verification, STP data verification and CAM350 or any Gerber file viewer software would be of benefit
  • Familiar with European regulations and safety standards, e.g. LVD, EMC, RoHS, REACH, etc.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly to suppliers’ location (travelling time up to 30% monthly)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English, preferred a native Mandarin speaker, German language abilities would be a benefit
